It’s been about 12 days since I wrote my last blog post. Life really does seem to be a balancing act sometimes. I wanted to cover all of the progress I made with my detection lab, but with DEFCON right around the corner and being actively on the job market, I had to prioritize. I wanted to make sure my portfolio is presentable, so I’ve been focusing heavily on developing my portfolio website first before diving back into the Security Onion project. The portfolio site is a headless WordPress build—the screenshot you see as this blog’s feature image is a little teaser. It should be deployed here by next week.
I’ve been working on other projects too, like my TENOREN tool. It’s an AI token-saving tool, and I’m really excited to release it, but I’m currently refining the codebase to ensure the token optimization is rock-solid before I make the repo public.
I also recently rejoined PROJXON to get some more hands-on security experience under my belt.
Previously, I was a sysadmin there, but the day-to-day administrative overhead and user provisioning didn’t leave much room for deep security work. More importantly, I recognized some critical security gaps in how things were structured, and I wanted to be in a position where I could actually fix them rather than just inherit the risk. Now that I’m back specifically to handle the security side of operations, I’m leading a full-scale security audit—which I am incredibly excited to drive.
As for the detection lab, those VMs are temporarily sitting idle while I focus on these active deliverables lol. I also still need to work on Ghostpit and see if I can get it to work on the e-ink screen.
Just wanted to give a quick update. I should be deploying the production build of my portfolio site on dimensionbeyond.space very soon, and I’ll share my journey as things progress.
Anyways, thank you for reading this little blurb. I was going to ask AI to write this a little better, but I don’t know… don’t you get tired of reading AI slop? Haha.
Anyways, Claude Code just finished a sprint, so I’m going to see how far it got.
Stay tuned.
